Welcome to Year 3
Marnie Chana Julie Olsen Jane Laishley
Year 3 is a particularly important year as it the first year in Key Stage 2. The transition from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2 marks the time when the children take on the challenges of taking greater responsibility and becoming more independent with their learning.
It is a very exciting time.Children in Year 3 enjoy many new opportunities such as swimming, learning to play an instrument, taking part in the Tri-Golf Festival and of course being a member of Key Stage 2.This year more than ever, the home school partnership is of the highest importance.
Parents are encouraged to support their children as they complete their home learning and are encouraged as much as possible to work closely together with the class teacher.
The Year 3 Blog will keep you up to date with what the children are learning in class and Parent Share events will give you the chance to come into school and directly share your child’s learning.
